Wendy Fine is Laura Baker's mother. Wendy is described as a smart and confident former lawyer from Chicago who comes to Beverly Hills to check on Laura. And though mother and daughter share a love for the law, they couldn’t see the legal system more differently.[1] She is portrayed by Jaclyn Smith.
History[]
In "Ready or Not",
In "Sabotage", Wendy visits the Baker house to spend time with her grandchildren after Billy's death. Olivia shows her a picture of her and Spencer, and while Wendy says that Spencer is attractive and handsome, Olivia is total smoke show. Wendy mentions that she is "current with the time" and even has an OnlyFans account—only for legal purposes, of course. She is happy to see Olivia and Jordan laughing. When Olivia is placed in London for her cultural exchange program, Wendy comments that she has many friends there and will get Olivia their contacts. When Olivia starts having doubts, Wendy asks if Spencer is the real reason for her uncertainty. She reminds Olivia that Fine women don’t wait or wonder, and it's okay to be selfish and focus on herself. Wendy encourages Olivia to listen to fate, saying she needs to be whole again before she can give all of herself to Spencer.
In "Connection",
In "I Do (Part 2)", she attends Spencer and Olivia's wedding.
