Wade Waters is a recurring character of All American, portrayed by Christian James.
Full of East Coast privilege, Wade Waters is the arrogant but talented quarterback for GAU (Golden Angeles University). He enjoys his position of power over the freshmen and makes a point to haze them by putting them in uncomfortable situations and using team status to pressure the new guys into questionable choices.[1]
Relationships[]
Jordan Baker[]
Jordan initially looked up to Wade, and Jordan was also receptive to NIL, Wade fell out with him because Jordan became a starter after Wade was suspended for a game after he missed practice from an NIL deal with a private jet. Since then, their rivalry have soured, to the point that he even planned a swatting mission in the Baker mansion.
Spencer James[]
Wade's attitude towards Spencer changed in the opposite direction to Jordan, given that Spencer initially walked out of the party at the beach house. By mid-season, after Spencer became a slot receiver (WR 3), they developed great on-field chemistry, and Wade also supports Jordan launching his own brand and get his own NIL deal, even when it's far less valuable and lucrative by comparison. Unbeknownst to Spencer until it was brought to Simone's attention: He posted a tweet defaming Olivia, but forged the date and time when the QB meeting was held.
In "Black Out", Spencer was seen in Wade's guest bedroom with Wade's dog the day after Spencer's 21st birthday. However, when Spencer came to the office of Coastal to apologize, it turned out that Wade saved Spencer from jail by getting him to stay in his guest bedroom. On "Draft Day", he was mentioned to be drafted by San Francisco as the 30th and final pick in Round 1, officially eliminating Spencer out of round 1.
Olivia Baker[]
Wade was never a fan of Olivia after she ran a story using him as a cautionary tale against NIL and his bully allegations, but when Wade was ousted from the team, he sent previous clips of coach Garrett to demonstrate that he tried to set up his own version of Bounty Gate, where he purposefully encourages defenders to hurt and maim star players on the opposing team.
Asher Adams[]
When Coastal lost their starting QB for the season with torn Achilles injury, Asher drafted Wade, a senior, to be with the team.
