Ryan is a recurring character on season six of All American, portrayed by Brian Borello.
He is a young, app-creating "Gazillionaire" who is Layla's business partner in the lounge.
History[]
Season Six[]
In "Things Done Changed", Ryan is first introduced at the lounge, where he urges Layla to try some steak bites. Layla responds that they don’t need to approve every single menu item, but Ryan argues that it's the definition of being partners. When she suggests giving the chef a raise, Ryan jokingly replies that they should make some money first before giving it all away. He then calms Layla's nerves ahead of the opening the next day.
In "Public Service Announcement",
In "Business is Business",
In "Passin’ Me By", Ryan is waiting at the lounge for Patience, but Jordan arrives instead. Jordan blames him for advising Layla to adjust her meds and for leaving her alone when the club got trashed. Ryan defends his actions, explaining that Layla said she had it covered and that he had only made suggestions, but Layla ultimately did what she felt was best for her own clarity. Jordan argues that Ryan has no right to make suggestions about her meds, but Ryan insists he was just listening and being a friend. He clarifies that he made only a casual suggestion, but Jordan believes Ryan is being too casual. Ryan understands that Jordan is scared for his fiancée, but points out that using him as a punching bag won’t change anything. He urges Jordan to talk to Layla.
Trivia[]
- He has opened twelve businesses, not including Layla's, all of which are still operating.[1]
