History[]

Season One[]

In "Legacy", Micah introduces himself as the teaching assistant for Urban Planning. He asks the students why they chose urban planning, but most of them admit that they are just taking it because it is an elective. He asks if anyone chose the class voluntarily, and Grace raises her hand. She admits that she chose to take the class because of Flint, Michigan. Micah mentions that cleaning up the water, upgrading the pipes, and dealing with the health issues all take careful planning. Grace says that she wants to learn how to prevent the next crisis, and Micah is impressed with her answer.

Micah catches up with Grace after class and asks about her progress on the hypothetical land use assignment. He advises her not to choose a playground, as that's what everybody chooses. He also tells her that the crime and land value balance each other out, so she shouldn't over-calculate those numbers. Micah tells her that he's free if she wants to get coffee and talk more about the project, but Grace has to get home. He suggests that they get the coffee to go and talk while they walk, and Grace agrees.

At Grace's house, she tells him that she's not wasting her land on a parking lot. Micah argues that it's not her land, but public land that she has been hypothetically entrusted with. Grace goes against his advice and chooses to do a playground anyway. She thinks that it could work, and Micah agrees. She explains that she was talking about the playground, but Micah claims he was too. He goes to get refills just as Spencer arrives. He tells Spencer that his mom is one of their best students. Spencer asks if Micah dates all of his students, which leads to an argument between him and Grace.

In "Regulate", Micah shows up at Dillon's party to Grace's surprise. He explains that Dillon invited him and guesses that Dillon didn't tell Grace. He offers to leave if it's too much for her. Dillon arrives and explains that they're one man short for their pop-gun fight. Grace urges Micah to go play with Dillon. Spencer finds Micah and apologizes for how things went down the other night. They see Grace helping out, and Spencer explains that she won't stop until she knows everyone is taken care of. Micah figures his presence made her uncomfortable, so it was her way of avoiding him. Spencer tells him to hang in there and make Grace smile because she likes Micah.

Season Two[]

In "Never No More", Grace runs into Micah in the hallway, and the two greet each other awkwardly. Grace hasn't seen Micah since winter break, and he mentions that he's no longer a teaching assistant. He has called and texted her a few times but never heard back. Grace apologizes and explains that her life got a little complicated. Micah says that she could have just told him instead of ghosting him. He's glad to see that she's doing well and tells her to take care.

In "They Reminisce Over You", Micah arrives at Grace's house after receiving her message. Her message said it was urgent, but he guesses that she doesn't need help with an assignment since she has the highest grade in the class. Grace needs a favor: her 25-year high school reunion is tonight. Micah tells her that he'll be her date if she wants one, since they're still friends.

At the reunion, Micah mentions that the song playing was his jam in junior high. Grace says that she feels old, but he tells her that she’s still got it. He mentions that his 20-year reunion was last year. They both agree that everyone is the same, making small talk. Grace jokes that this is what their relationship has come to, and Micah leaves to get them something to drink.

Later, Micah and Grace slow dance. Grace notices that Micah is avoiding talking about their relationship. Micah says he doesn't know what she wants to hear since she stopped calling. He feels like he was canceled when she let him go. Corey asks to cut in for one song. Grace tries to explain that they were in the middle of something, but Micah leaves and lets them dance.

When they get back to Grace's house, she mentions that the night didn't go as planned and apologizes to Micah. He tells her that she doesn't have to apologize, but Grace insists because he deserves it. She's sorry that she might have ruined something that was real good and that she ruined his night. Grace keeps rambling and apologizing, but finally shuts up so that the two could kiss. Micah suggests that they try another date with no exes this time.

In "Decisions", Micah is seen at Grace's house devising a plan to save South Crenshaw High School from turning into a magnet school. He explains that Superintendent Carter is working on a rehaul of the school district and believes that converting the school is key to bringing new money into Crenshaw. At the rally at Slauson Café, Micah and Grace listen as Denise pitches a bachelor auction to raise funds for the school. Denise tells him that he would be bring in a lot of money, but Micah explains that he's not single.

Season Three[]

By "Seasons Pass", Micah and Grace have broken up. Grace says that he's a great guy, but he was a safe choice. She thinks he deserves to be more than just somebody's safe choice.
