Ivan Garrett is a recurring character on All American. He is portrayed by Sean Carrigan.
Coach Garrett is a hard nosed, win-at-all-costs, college football Head Coach at a D1 school. A perfectionist by nature, Coach Garrett has no problem pushing his players beyond their limits. A style of coaching that is not for the faint of heart.[1]

In "I Need Love", ahead of National Signing Day, Garrett intends to sign 19 high school students and 3 graduate transfers. He hints that he might have a few more surprises. During an interview on National Signing Day, Garrett says he's been thinking a lot about his future lately. He believes it's time for him to focus on new challenges, so he resigns from his position as head coach at GAU, effective immediately.
In "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down", after the press conference, Kenny and Garrett head into Garrett's office. Kenny needs to know what's going on, but Garrett says it's neither the time nor the place for that. Kenny reminds him that it's National Signing Day, the most important day of the year, and he needs to tell the kids something; he made a commitment to them. Garrett responds by saying he made a commitment to the school. He tells Kenny that he's a good man, one of the best he's been around. He says that everything he did, he did for the greater good of the program.
